Day One and Two: Istanbul, Turkey

We left England early in the morning to fly to Istanbul, Turkey to get to the port where our cruise started. We had a good flight into Turkey and then had a courier take us from the airport to the port. It was about an hour drive, but it seemed to pass by quickly as we spent the time looking out the window and commenting on the different buildings and mosques that we passed by. When we got to the port we had to sign in and get our passes for the boat. Then we got on board, and after finding our room went to one of the dinning areas for a buffet lunch. We spent the rest of the afternoon exploring the boat. Then for dinner we went to the dinning room for our first of many delicious dinners. After dinner we went to the "Welcome Aboard" show and then retired for bed.

On our second day in Istanbul, we enjoyed another buffet for breakfast and then went out to do some exploring. It was a bit chilly in Istanbul, so we only went out for a couple of hours. While we were out we did see a couple of mosques (I thought that the washing stations were very interesting), a park, a graveyard, some market streets and lots and lots of cats.

The ship left Istanbul in the afternoon and we spent the rest of the day playing games and watching shows.

(I had to put all the writing at the top because otherwise it underlined everything that I wrote.)
