Red, White and Blue

I didn't take many pictures on the Fourth.  And I didn't get any good shots of Eleanor.  These ones are from a couple days later of Eleanor all dressed up in her red, white and blue.  The little chunk is such a cutie and so much fun to get all dressed up.  (Sorry about the red-eye)

Happy Fourth

For the Fourth of July we went to a friends for a BBQ.  Stephen had left for Utah just a couple days before the Fourth and so it was nice to be able to go somewhere and spend the afternoon with friends.  Canyon's favorite part of the day was blowing bubbles.

They both had a lot of fun playing different games like cricket.

Eleanor was spoilt by all the people wanting to hold her.

And I spent a lot of time socializing (Hence the reason there are not many photos to post.)

Though we missed Stephen not being with us we all enjoyed a nice warm summer day with friends.

Picnic at Stanwick Lakes

Here are some pictures of the boys playing at Stanwick Lakes.  They had a lot of fun playing in the water.  It was refreshing to have a day of sunshine and nice weather.  We haven't seen a lot of good weather so far this some and it was nice to be able to get out and enjoy some time outdoors without being super cold.

Towards the end of our outing the boys got really wet.  We left just as the clouds started to roll in and the rain started pouring down just before we made it into the car.  Despite the sudden downpour we had a lot of fun.

Curls?

They haven't shown up very well in the photos, but whenever Eleanor gets a bath her hair goes a little curly.  Guess we'll have to see if it turns into real curls later on.  

Little Sweetie

Just a picture of Eleanor.  She is such a little sweetie.  I love her pudgy little cheeks and sweet smiles.  She is such a pleasant little girl and has stolen everyone's hearts with her adorable fun nature/personality.

Camping Indoors

Every year they have a father and sons camp for the boys and dads at church.  This year Emerson had a bunch of shots the day of the campout and so Stephen decided not to take him.  Acouple weeks later they had made plans to go camping but the weather forecasted thunder storms so again they weren't able to go.  Instead of giving up entirely Stephen and the boys set the tent up inside and had their own little campout in the living room.

The boys loved it.  They ran around and played in the tent, roasted hot dogs over the stove and read stories before bedtime.  It was fun to see the boys having so much fun.  The gloomy weather didn't bring their spirits down.  I think in some ways they might have preferred it.  

Smile

Time has gone so quickly since little Eleanor has come into the world.  She is already two months old.  At her check up she weighed 12 1/2 pounds!  She is such a sweet little girl.  She has been giving lots of smilies lately and starting cooing too.  The boys love holding her and talking to her.  She is such a lovely addition to our family and we absolutely adore her.

Little White Dress

Here are some photos that I took of Eleanor in her blessing dress a couple days after she was blessed.  The heat in Scotland made her face all yucky but I think she still looks sweet.

Eleanor's Blessing

On the first Sunday in June Eleanor was blessed at church.  It was a very special day and although none of our extended family was able to be there we were able to share it with some of our friends here in England.
