Extended Birthday

The boys got a couple joint presents this year for their birthdays.  After we got home from the park on the Saturday in between their birthdays we let them open their gifts.

They spent most of the evening playing with their new baseball toy.  Emerson was getting pretty good at it by the end of the night.  Canyon on the other hand just stood and smiled.  (I guess we'll have to work on the swinging part.)

Stanwick Lakes

During the Saturday in between all the May birthdays we went and spent the afternoon at Stanwick Lakes.  The weather wasn't perfect but we were lucky to get a couple minutes of sunshine here and there.  Emerson and Canyon brought there wiggle cars to ride along the path.  They had fun racing each other around.

We also spent some time racing dead leaves and twigs under the bridge.  The boys really enjoyed dropping there object of choice from one side of the bridge and then running to the other side to see whose would come out first.

We found a fun cabin to have a snack at and then made our way back to where we started so that we could get home before the rain started coming down.  It was definitely nice to get a little fresh air and enjoy a couple glimpses of the sun.

A Name

On Friday morning we finally decided on a name for our little baby girl.

Eleanor Rosemary Chatterton

We are so excited to have this little cutie in our family.

Hamerton Zoo

The day after Emerson's birthday we went and spent a little time at the zoo not too far away from our house.  The weather was not perfect but it didn't rain and the sun poked out a time or two so it was still a fun outing.    We spent a lot of time watching the cheetahs and the tigers.  We were there when all the big cats were being fed so they were very active and gave us quite a show.  

After a couple hours at the zoo we called it a day.  The boys had a great time watching the animals.  They would have stayed there forever just watching all the different animals.  As the weather gets nicer we will probably have more outings to the zoo.

Emerson's Birthday

Emerson turned four last week and so we had a little family party for his birthday.  For his special day Emerson chose stromboli for dinner and a dragon cake for his special dessert.  He was a very excited little boy and was full of smiles all day long.

I think Nana was his favorite that night because she got a very very big piece of cake.

So fun to see his excitement about everything.  Can't believe how big he's getting.  Happy birthday to our sweet little man!
