Moving House

Our last morning at our house on base we were finishing the cleaning for the final inspection and gave Emerson a bag of snacks. As you can see Emerson had a great time and we found another cleaning project.

Walking

Emerson has been walking for a litte while now. He took his first steps when we were in the states. And then by the beginning of August he was getting around pretty much everywhere on his feet. The video is from when he first started walking. (You can tell cause he's so wobbley) Our favorite part of the video is at the very end.

Leroy the Lion

I was trying to get some nice photos of Emerson and he was not wanting to sit very still, so in an attempt to get him to stay in one place I brought out Leroy. These are some of the photos of the two of them.

Daddy's Shoes

Emerson loves to wear other peoples shoes. He can't walk around, but thinks it's fun to put his feet in them. On Sunday Stephen's shoes were in the living room and as you can see from the photos below, Emerson wanted to wear them.

Emerson was being pretty photogenic on Saturday. Here are a couple of cute photos we took.

Oh The Boxes

Emerson's favorite part of packing was helping to move the boxes into the dining room. As you can see in the video he is very strong and we probably couldn't have gotten as much done as we did without him.

Moving

For those of you who haven't heard we're finally moving off base. We've been looking for a while and have found a place that we really like in Ellington. It has a very old english feel to it as well as a lot of character and we think that it'll be great. We move into our new house this coming Saturday. We spent most of this last weekend packing. As you can see Emerson is a very good helper.

Everything is a Hat

When we're playing we'll put things on our head or on Emerson's head. A lot of the time it's a hat, but sometimes it is a toy or some other object. This has led Emerson to putting things on his head without encouragement from our part. Just a couple pictures to show some of the things Emerson thinks belong on your head. (A plastic container, half of a toy egg, and my favorite a piece of banana)

The Bandana Bib

We bought these cool little bibs called skibz. They look like bandanas and are great for babies like Emerson who drool all the time. They're fun cause you can wear them all day and it doesn't look like you're wearing a bib, yet it provides all the advantages of wearing one (food stains and chaffing).
