Last week while we were at the grocery store Emerson was running around and slipped and fell "flat on his face" (Emerson's words). It was a pretty bad fall and there was a lot of blood, but thankfully after we got him all cleaned up we discovered that he had only cut the inside of his upper lip. After a short cuddle session Emerson was okay and as a reward for being such a brave little boy (and to help make his ouchie all better) he got an ice cream cone from McDonalds.
The next day while taking pictures of the boys playing in their room Emerson insisted that I take a picture of his ouchie and fat lip.
