Rocking Horse

After Utah we headed to Vermont to visit Kristine's mother's side of the family. We had a red-eye flight to New York and then a little hour hop from New York to Vermont. Emerson did really well and he slept through both the flights. If we would have had a more spacious seating arrangement it would have been even better, but at least Emerson got some sleep. Kristine's mother flew in from Washington state the night before and was at the airport Thursday morning with Kristine's Aunt Donna to pick us up. We stopped for breakfast on our way to her grandmother's house and there Kristine's cousin Lorna and her two boys Qwin and Cameron joined us. After breakfast we all piled back into the car and continued making our way. We also stopped to say hello to another of Kristine's aunts. Emerson was very excited to get out of the car and also enjoyed a little swing on their hammock. When we finally made it to grandma's Emerson was asleep, but after a little nap he was ready to test out the rocking horse. We spent the rest of the afternoon talking and relaxing and eating some very yummy beef stew.
